Disrupted
. . . navigating the unexpected
Maybe it was something small: a broken appliance, a fussy child, a misunderstanding with a friend, an embarrassing comment.
Maybe it was something big: a protracted illness, a loss of place, a betrayal, the death of a dream. . . or a loved one.
None of us get a disruption-free life. Early in life I approached life's interruptions with great resourcefulness (which sounds much nicer than control). But by my 40s, chronic disruptions had worn me down. I was morphing into an angry, cynical woman. Can anyone relate?
Now in my 50s , I am trying to approach disruption differently. Could unexpected interruptions actually shape me into a better person? Perhaps disruption is more like a friend to be embraced than an enemy to battle.
If you are hanging on for dear life or dreaming of an escape from your disruption-filled life, then perhaps my journey will encourage you. . . or at least let you know you are not alone.
